More Than Believing
Biblical faith rests the weight of life on Christ rather than optimism, emotional certainty, intellectual agreement, or confidence in faith itself.
The Knowing Series, Volume 03
Faith Responds. Trusting the God Who Never Lets Go.
Craig Marvin Johnson
Move from agreement to trust, from trust to obedience, and from belief held in the mind to a life placed fully in the hands of God.
Faith places the full weight of life upon God.
Seven movements
Each movement opens Scripture, names a place of formation, and invites a faithful response.
Biblical faith rests the weight of life on Christ rather than optimism, emotional certainty, intellectual agreement, or confidence in faith itself.
Faith becomes reliable as disciples learn God's unchanging character and trust the covenant God who initiates, speaks, protects, corrects, and loves.
When God's path is hidden by waiting, silence, or uncertainty, disciples learn to trust His heart without denying their questions or pain.
Trials expose the lesser trusts comfort can conceal and invite believers into honest surrender, steadfastness, wisdom, and deeper freedom in Christ.
Obedience is the fruit of saving grace, taking the next faithful step before the outcome is visible while following the obedience of Jesus.
Faith deepens through Scripture, prayer, worship, fellowship, remembrance, and ordinary discipleship until a believer's life increasingly resembles Jesus.
Believers run with endurance, remain engaged in Christ's mission, and trust the Shepherd who holds them until faith finally becomes sight.
